Also IRL I love and hate Thunderstorms, I love the Lightning cause it looks cool and is fascinating, but Im scared of Thunder cause Im autistic and loud noises scare me, but Thunder is cool as well, though Lightning is obviously mroe danegrous and weve had some rather nasty thunderstorms over here in the uk, I kid you not once the clouds were literally pitch black, cause of how bad it was once.

Those thunderstorms would probably be very helpful, since they would make it easy to AFK farm enemies early in the game.

I hope you can place fish in ponds too so they can look populated like the new fishing effect without having to fish.

Since were talking about weather how about an invasion event where your world is invaded by Storms, but the kicker here is the Storms are targetable enemies, but their invasion can happen at any time starting from world creation onwards but scales with world progression so youll only fight weaker storms at first, as as the world progresses bigger and nastier storms show up in the invasion and the gear and items dropped are all weather based, the event is also a big fat Terraria State of the Game - August 2024 (8) you to all the Storms that have hit the UK over the years.

Ahh, just like in the cartoons, that would be a wicked idea.

To be clear, I think the dodge should be done with a perfectly timed dash, not just by sprinting

Thats totally understandable, how much of a timeframe might the player have to react before the dodge fails?

So good reflexes or timing then, might be hard for some players but i guess that keeps it fair.

I think there should be an alternative that makes less skilled players be able to be unaffected by lightning, like an accessory that gives you immunity to the effects of lightning strikes, but it should be harder to obtain.

Or maybe make lightning strikes not deal enough damage to kill you, it only hurts a little.

That poor Slime in the lightning trailer...

It touched the metallic Dungeon Spikes during the storm (around 0:07), became conductive, then got zapped...

I wonder if metallic surfaces charge you like that, or if it was coincidental.

TERRARIA - WEATHERING THE STORM

While Terraria has had various weather effects for quite some time, they have mostly been cosmetic. Outside of wind - which can impact movement and projectiles - and possibly the visibility-limiting blizzard/sandstorms, weather has never really played a huge role in the Terraria adventure. Terraria 1.4.5 aims to change that up a bit by not only adding some new natural/weather phenomenons, but also making some weather elements more... interactive.

Damn that's shocking

I gave the video a dislike for adding telegraph to where the thunderbolts will fall.
Other than that, looks cool.

Leashes are going to make decorating the Zoologist's house so much better. She can have free roaming pets instead of having them all in a Terrarium! (Still tempted to make her house a giant Terrarium though. Terraria State of the Game - August 2024 (22))

Edit: Could Leashed Lightning Bugs count as lighting or just Lightning Bugs in Bottles? Probably just the bottles, but just wanted to ask about that idea.
